Crafty Woman!

a selection of some of my works now available at my etsy site
Oddly, the times that are most stressful for me seem to be the time that I create the most items. Making things is definitely a form of therapy for me. It is my time out. And I am so thankful for it.
The winter weather is finally arriving shortly, it has me thinking about what I want to do in crafts, and that I will have some time to play catch up with photographs I have taken over the summer.
I have started a new weaving, but have been saving the most relaxing times to work on it. I am guessing it will take me 3 months or more to finish it based off the time it has taken me to finish my smaller weavings.
I will be winding down on any new projects until the new year, as I will be reorganizing and setting up a more permanent craft space in the house. I also need to complete some long over due projects (ie – the sock pattern that I never seem to be able to finish).
After all the holiday breaks, and my son is back in school, I’ve been thinking about some of the directions I want to go in with my blog’s craft area. I have been thinking about tutorials for knitting, for a few friends have hinted at needing a re-fresher. But we will see! Extended family issues have been consuming our time, but we think we see a rainbow in sight, so no fear, or at least I tell myself that each day <smile>.
I also want to continue my “essays” on equipment that I own. It is extremely helpful to me when I visit other blogs and I can learn about what things do, or what a person does or does not like about an item.
For the time being, I will be using Etsy to sell my crafts. So check it out! Etsy is awesome if you have never been there, so many wonderful artists & crafts people.
