I kind of agonized over what to write here. Writing a bio is a funny thing for me, and I started with a draft that listed my skills and experience. Deciding that version was just too stuffy and boring, I opted to go with something a bit more fun and simple. So here it goes…..

My name is Kim and I love to create things. All sorts of things. It’s sort of a “family disease”. We all seem to make something, and we all use our hands.

We’ve all dabbled, and for me, three types of “handwork” seem to have stuck: fiber arts, beading, and sewing. Oh, and I love to cook!

My first encounter with a spinning wheel was magical and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love making my yarn, and using commercial yarn, working with others or my patterns. The fact is, making things is my therapy. From time to time, I create so many things that I make items available for sale.

This pushed me to finally get a site, where people can go and purchase my items. I still have accounts at Etsy and HyenaCart, but will mostly work from here.

My first and full time “job” is my family. I have a child with special needs, and he is the light of our life. Nothing could be better than that! I could not be where I am today without the support of my family, so I send a shout out to all of you that have supported my quirky ways.

I also wanted a place where I could merge my blogs, and share my fun stuff with you! Please take your time, and browse around.

About some of the gadgets and things I use at the moment……..

I am using Wordpress 2.7.1. After a long time using blogger, I finally decided it was time to make the switch and host my own blog. So far I am loving it, and still learning about many of its features.
