I will be updating this page more thouroughly shortly, but for now, the terms will be short and sweet.

Basically, I have been allowed to work patterns from other fantastic designers without purchasing a cottage liscense or other such charge. I have never made enough from just one pattern to ever justify purchasing a liscense, and it prohibts me from selling the one item that I may have made.

Having permission is great for me, because I craft sporadically around my son’s schedule, and the reality is my fiber business is not a main source of income. I also make things that would no longer fit my son, and if I can’t gift them out, I can at least sell the items.

I want other’s to have the option, that if a few people say, can you make me one of those hats, and the crafter wants to charge, you can go right ahead. So here are my terms.

Items made from Big Sky Mountain Design Pattens must be:

1. Made by  the person selling them.
2. Made by hand.
3. Made with quality materials, if possible.
4. Send a message to bigskymountaindesigns@yahoo.com letting me know that you are selling items made from the patterns, and even better, include a link to your site.
5. You must include on your price tag, or product page,  or both, that the pattern is by Big Sky Mountain Designs.
6. And, charge a resonable price for your time!

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS THAT THE PATTERNS ARE NOT TO BE SOLD OR SHARED. IF FACT, PATTERNS ARE A MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME FOR MANY DESIGNERS AND WE SHOULD ALL RESPECT THIS.

SO CRAFT FROM YOUR HEARTS DESIRE BUT RESPECT THE PATTERNS, KEEP THEM INTACT, AND PLEASE DIRECT OTHERS TO THE SOURCE IF THEY ARE INTERESTED IN THE PATTERN ITSELF.
